Description of the device - Contents of the package.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In the Olympus water filter+<\/sup> GIGA contains the following parts for assembly:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Water Chamber (Stainless steel cover)<\/li>\n
  2. Ceramic filter (replacement cartridge)<\/li>\n
  3. Metal water inlet corner with clamp for supporting the rubber connection hose<\/li>\n
  4. Metal base made of antimicrobial copper alloy with customized tap<\/li>\n
  5. Navel of the metal base for supporting the antimicrobial copper disc and screwing the cartridge (spare part)<\/li>\n
  6. Antimicrobial copper alloy disc (mounted)<\/li>\n
  7. Elastic hose connecting the device to the tap for water supply<\/li>\n
  8. Metallic switch (valve) for connection of the filter with selector switch for filtered - unfiltered water<\/li>\n
  9. Sealing washer for the valve with the tap (must always be fitted)<\/li>\n
  10. Tap fitting for connection to a tap with internal thread or to a shower tap.<\/li>\n
  11. Metal angle of water outlet and tap support<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE IN 1 MINUTE <\/u><\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    1) <\/strong>See the photo of the device with the numbering of the parts from 1 to 11.
    \n2) <\/strong>Place the appliance on a sink counter or in an adjacent area.
    \n3) <\/strong>Carefully take out the bulb (spare part) located inside the metal lid (water chamber) (1) of the device.
    \n4) <\/strong>Unwrap the gelatines with which the ampoule is wrapped (2). .
    \n5) <\/strong>Screw loose<\/strong> the bulb (2) clockwise, without tightening it too much and breaking it <\/strong>\u00a0its plastic thread or ceramic or reduce the flow of water.
    \n<\/strong>6) <\/strong>Screw the metal cap (1) firmly back on to the right. .
    \n7) Unscrew to the left the spout from the kitchen tap and in the position\u00a0 <\/strong>of the screw to the right<\/strong> the valve (switch) (8) (see details chapter 2<\/strong>).
    \n8) <\/strong>For filtered water, turn on the tap and turn the switch handle to the horizontal position. (The first use may produce some black water from the activated carbon rinse)<\/strong> For unfiltered water, turn the switch to the vertical position.<\/p>\n

    ATTENTION <\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    a)If the filtered-water switch is stiff when first used, put more force to turn it over.
    \nb)The flow at the filter tap is also related to the water pressure in the water supply network. With a network pressure of 3 - 3.5 BAR the flow rate of the filter will be about 1.5 - 2.5 litres of water\/minute. If the mains pressure is high, open your tap less to get a lower flow and excellent filtered water quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ORDER OF INSTALLATION OF THE CARTRIDGES (SPARE PARTS) IN THE DOUBLE FILTERS<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    If your device is a double or triple, place the brown threaded vial in position 1 and the Salt or Nitrate vials (yellow or white thread) in the other bases in any order.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    ATTENTION:<\/u><\/strong><\/mark>
    \nAt first, place only the first cartridge (brown) on the base of the device, screw on all the metal caps (1) and let the filter run for a minute, so that the second ceramic cartridge is not soiled by the rinsing of the first activated carbon cartridge (brown), which at first may produce some black water.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    Finally, if you do not follow the above and the nozzle gets dirty, for aesthetic reasons only, you can clean it according to the instructions in paragraph 6.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n


    \n2. CONNECTING THE FILTER TO THE MOSS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Unscrew the filter with the sieve from the spout of your tap so that the filter valve (switch) (8) is screwed in place. If the tap thread after unscrewing the strainer is external, screw the supply valve (8) directly clockwise. Tighten firmly by hand and as far as possible avoid using a tool which may injure the valve or spoil the rides. If the faucet thread is internal, use the nipple (10) for ordinary faucets or shower type faucets. Screw the wide side of the nipple inside the tap (at the point where you unscrewed the shim) and tighten it firmly. Screw the supply valve (8 - filtered water switch) into the smaller diameter thread of the nipple to achieve the connection. If your tap does not belong to one of the 2 previous cases, please contact our company.<\/p>\n

    ATTENTION<\/u><\/strong> :\u00a0If the filtered - unfiltered water switch on the first use is hard when switching, put more force to make it work.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n

    3.\u00a0ATTENTION:<\/u> <\/strong>The first time and every time you change the flask, let the water run for 10 minutes. Do not use the filter for 24 hours. After 24 hours, let it run for 4-5 minutes and the filter is ready for use. Also, if the filter is left unused for more than 3 days, let the water run for 2-3 minutes.<\/mark><\/p>\n

    4. ATTENTION:<\/u><\/strong> Only cold water should be passed through the filter. If you pass hot water, the bonding and sealing materials of the cartridge will come loose, so that sediments, sludge, rust, as well as chemical elements of the water, such as chlorine etc. will not be retained by the filter.<\/mark><\/p>\n

    5. <\/strong>REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER (CARTRIDGE)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    When changing or cleaning the ceramic flask, it is advisable to make sure that any kind of cut or wound on your hands is covered to avoid contact with any germs that have been held on the outside of the ceramic filter and the antimicrobial copper base has not yet had time to kill, as it takes about 2 hours to kill them.
    \nOtherwise, to change the cartridge, follow the same procedure as when you first installed the filter.<\/p>\n

    6. MAINTENANCE - CLEANING OF THE CERAMIC CARTRIDGE<\/u> <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Every 3-4 months or at any time the water flow from the tap of the device is significantly reduced<\/strong>, (which means that the ceramic filter cartridge is \u00abclogged\u00bb with sediment, rust, mud, slime, salts, etc.), remove it from the appliance and run it under the tap with cold water (without detergents), rub it well over the entire surface with the wire part of the dish sponge, or with a stiffer wire material or even with an emery cloth (size 80), to clean it<\/strong> and improve the flow of water. After rinsing it thoroughly, put it back in place.<\/p>\n

    7. RECOMMENDED FLOW OF THE FILTER - TIME TO CHANGE SPARE PARTS <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    IMPORTANT:<\/u><\/strong> The highest efficiency of the filter is achieved when the water flow from the filter does not exceed 1.5 to 2 litres per minute. The capacity of the cartridge is for 14.000 litres of water or for 10-12 months<\/strong>, whichever comes first. The duration of the bladder can be shortened, in cases of polluted networks with silt, slag, slime, soil, salts, etc., or in periods of water scarcity, when the pollution of water supply networks is very intense (due to low water levels). In these cases, the filter must be cleaned much more frequently and replaced earlier if, despite cleaning, the water flow does not return to the tap of the appliance.
    \n<\/strong>However, regardless of the number of liters of water that will pass through the filter, in 10-12 months at the latest, you must ALWAYS change the filter, because once it gets wet, its materials weaken month by month and the water that passes through the filter will pass unfiltered.<\/mark><\/p>\n

    8.\u00a0<\/strong>MAINTENANCE OF ANTIMICROBIAL TABLET AND BASE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    On the surfaces of the antimicrobial copper alloy materials, and in particular on the inside of the base (4) and on the disc (6) inside it, there may be a surface colour change due to normal oxidation of the antimicrobial copper, deposits of various materials from the water supply networks, such as rust, sludge, etc. In these cases, these deposits, which do not in any way affect the general functioning of the filter, are good, both for aesthetic reasons and for reasons of cleanliness of the filter chamber, <\/strong>be removed as follows:<\/p>\n

    \u03b1)<\/strong> Thoroughly clean both surfaces of the antimicrobial tray with something harder like a pot wire, wild emery cloth, etc. \u03b2)<\/strong> Clean the inside of the antimicrobial base in the same way to remove all kinds of rust-like deposits.<\/p>\n

    9. PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING THE EXTERNAL METALLIC DEVICE\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Wipe the device with a soft piece of cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water. Avoid using bleach or any chemical detergent or fabric softener, or cloths with a wire, as they will leave marks on the metal surface of the appliance.<\/p>\n

    10.<\/strong>ATTENTION!<\/u> <\/strong>Each time you turn off the tap, the filter will continue to pump out some water for a few seconds. This is normal because it relieves the water pressure created in the chamber of the appliance.<\/p>\n

    11<\/strong>.\u00a0IMPORTANT!<\/u><\/strong> To protect your filter after any water supply interruption, HOWEVER <\/strong>\u00a0turn on your tap first and let it run for a while before using the filter<\/p>\n

    12.\u00a0ATTENTION:<\/u><\/strong> The OLYMPUS water filter+<\/sup> is aimed at waters that are controlled by the Municipal or Community authorities and are suitable for human consumption.<\/p>\n

    TWO (2) YEAR GUARANTEE<\/strong>
    \nThis guarantee is valid for 2 years and:<\/p>\n

    1 )<\/strong> Broken (from misuse) parts and components of the device or cartridge.
    \n2 )<\/strong> Clogged replacement cartridges, due to lack of maintenance by the user or high water pollution from salts, rust, slime, sludge sediments, etc.
    \n3 )<\/strong> Damage caused to the nozzle by the passage of hot water (See recommendations and instructions in chapter 4 on page 3), or by excessive tightening of the nozzle during installation. (see chapter 1, paragraph (5) on page 5). 2)
    \n4)<\/strong> Breakage of the shells of the device or connection pipes due to excessive pressure in your network; or\u00a0 From<\/strong> the hydraulic shock phenomenon in which the network pressure rises instantaneously and uncontrollably<\/strong>.
