The standard Olympus filter has the capacity to filter 8,000 litres of water per year, while the Olympus GIGA has the capacity to filter 14,000 litres of water per year.The Giga is recommended for families with high water consumption, usually consisting of 5 people or more. The upper bench filters with their lower bench counterparts are exactly the same in terms of efficiency as well as water filtration. Their difference is in the way of installation which in the case of the upper countertop is easy and not permanent (you can at any time disconnect it and place it in another faucet), while the under counter needs some installation, possibly by a plumber if you don't \u00abget your hands\u00bb on it, and you will need a hole in your sink in which to place the standalone faucet to supply the filtered water. You can choose any of our single filters, namely : The 77\u20ac (above the counter) or 114\u20ac (below the counter) model can filter 8,000 liters of water per year and covers up to 5 people in daily use for a year. A filter renewal costs 45\u20ac. The Gigas model at 99\u20ac (above the counter) or 134\u20ac (below the counter) is for 14,000 litres of water a year and covers consumption for 5 people or more.
