Description of the device - Package contents
The Olympus+ water filter contains the following parts for assembly:
1. Water Chamber (Stainless steel cover)
2. Ceramic filter (replacement cartridge)
3. Metal water inlet corner with clamp for supporting the rubber connection hose
4. Metal base made of antimicrobial copper alloy with customized tap
5. Navel of the metal base for supporting the antimicrobial copper disc and screwing the cartridge (spare part)
6. Antimicrobial copper alloy disc (it is mounted)
7. Elastic hose connecting the device to the tap for water supply
8. Metal switch (valve) for connecting the filter with a selector switch for filtered - unfiltered water
9. Washer to seal the valve to the tap (must always be fitted)
10. Tap fitting for connection to an internally threaded tap or shower tap

1. INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE IN 1 MINUTE
1) See the photo of the device with the numbering of the parts from 1 to 11.
2) Place the appliance on a sink counter or in an adjacent area.
3) Carefully take out the bulb (spare part) inside the metal cap
(water chamber) (1) of the device.
4) Unwrap the gelatines with which the ampoule is wrapped (2). .
5) Screw loose the bulb (2) clockwise, without tightening it too much and break its plastic thread or ceramic thread or reduce the water flow.
6) Screw the metal cap (1) firmly back on to the right. .
7) Unscrew to the left the spout from the kitchen tap and in its place screw to the right the valve (switch) (8) (see details in chapter 2).
8) For filtered water, turn on the tap and turn the switch handle to the horizontal position. (The first use may produce some black water from the activated carbon rinse) For unfiltered water, turn the switch to the vertical position.
ATTENTION
α) If the filtered-water switch in the first use is stiff when switching, put more force to turn it.
b) The flow at the filter tap is also related to the water pressure in the water supply network. With a network pressure of 3 - 3.5 BAR the flow rate of the filter will be about 1.5 - 2.5 litres of water/minute. If the mains pressure is high, open your tap less to get a lower flow and excellent filtered water quality.
CARTRIDGE MOUNTING SEQUENCE (SPARE PARTS) FOR DOUBLE AND TRIPLE FILTERS
If your device is a double or triple, place the green threaded vial in position 1 and the Salt or Nitrate vials (blue or red threaded) in the other positions in any order.
2. CONNECTION OF THE FILTER TO THE MOORING
Unscrew the filter with the sieve from the spout of your tap so that the filter valve (switch) (8) is screwed in place. If the tap thread after unscrewing the strainer is external, screw the supply valve (8) directly clockwise. Tighten firmly by hand and as far as possible avoid using a tool which may injure the valve or spoil the rides. If the faucet thread is internal, use the nipple (10) for ordinary faucets or shower type faucets. Screw the wide side of the nipple inside the tap (at the point where you unscrewed the shim) and tighten it firmly. Screw the supply valve (8 - filtered water switch) into the smaller diameter thread of the nipple to achieve the connection. If your tap does not belong to one of the 2 previous cases, please contact our company.
ATTENTION : If the filtered - unfiltered water switch is stiff on the first use when switching, apply more force to make it work.
3. ATTENTION:: The first time and every time you change the flask, let the water run for 10 minutes. Do not use the filter for 24 hours. After 24 hours let it run for 4-5 minutes and the filter is ready to use. Also, if the filter is left unused for more than 3 days, let the water run for 2-3 minutes.
4. ATTENTION:Only cold water should be passed through the filter. If you pass hot water, the bonding and sealing materials of the cartridge will come loose, so that sediments, sludge, rust, as well as chemical elements of the water, such as chlorine, etc. will not be retained by the filter.
5. REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER (CARTRIDGE)
When changing or cleaning the ceramic flask, it is advisable to make sure that any kind of cut or wound on your hands is covered to avoid contact with any germs that have been held on the outside of the ceramic filter and the antimicrobial copper base has not yet had time to kill, as it takes about 2 hours to kill them.
Otherwise, to change the cartridge, follow the same procedure as when you first installed the filter.
6. MAINTENANCE - CLEANING OF THE CERAMIC CARTRIDGE
Every 3-4 months or at any time the water flow from the tap of the device is significantly reduced, (which means that the ceramic filter cartridge is «clogged» with sediment, rust, mud, slime, salts, etc.), remove it from the appliance and run it under the tap with cold water (without detergents), rub it well over the entire surface with the wire part of the dish sponge, or with a stiffer wire material or even with an emery cloth (size 80), to clean it and improve the flow of water. After rinsing it thoroughly, put it back in place.
7. RECOMMENDED FLOW OF THE FILTER - TIME TO CHANGE SPARE PARTS
IMPORTANT: The highest efficiency of the filter is achieved when the water flow from the filter does not exceed 1.5 to 2 litres per minute. The capacity of the cartridge is for 8,000 litres of water or for 10-12 months, whichever comes first. The duration of the bladder can be shortened, in cases of polluted networks with silt, slag, slime, soil, salts, etc., or in periods of water scarcity, when the pollution of water supply networks is very intense (due to low water levels). In these cases, the filter must be cleaned much more frequently and replaced earlier if, despite cleaning, the water flow does not return to the tap of the appliance.
However, regardless of the number of liters of water that will pass through the filter, in 10-12 months at the latest, you must ALWAYS change the filter, because once it gets wet, its materials weaken month by month and the water that passes through the filter will pass unfiltered.
8. MAINTENANCE OF ANTIMICROBIAL TABLET AND BASE
On the surfaces of the antimicrobial copper alloy materials, and in particular on the inside of the base (4) and on the disc (6) inside it, there may be a surface colour change due to normal oxidation of the antimicrobial copper, deposits of various materials from the water supply networks, such as rust, sludge, etc. In these cases, these deposits, which do not in any way affect the general functioning of the filter, are good, both for aesthetic reasons and for reasons of cleanliness of the filter chamber, be removed as follows:
α) Thoroughly clean both surfaces of the antimicrobial tray with something harder like a pot wire, wild emery cloth, etc.
β) Clean the inside of the antimicrobial base in the same way to remove all kinds of rust-like deposits.
9. PROCEDURE FOR CLEANING THE EXTERNAL METALLIC DEVICE
Wipe the device with a soft piece of cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water. Avoid using bleach or any chemical detergent or bleaching agent or cloths with a wire, as they will leave marks on the metal surface of the appliance.
10.ATTENTION! Each time you turn off the tap, the filter will continue to pump out some water for a few seconds. This is normal because it relieves the water pressure created in the chamber of the appliance.
11. IMPORTANT! To protect your filter, after any water supply interruption, ALWAYS turn on your tap first and let it run for a few hours before using the filter.
12. ATTENTION: The OLYMPUS+ water filter is intended for water that is controlled by the Municipal or Community authorities and is suitable for human consumption.
TWO (2) YEAR GUARANTEE
This guarantee is valid for 2 years and:
α) It obliges CENTER PLUS SA to repair without any charge any damage or functional problem of the OLYMPUS water filtration device.

CAUTION: THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
1) Broken (from misuse) parts and components of the device or cartridge.
2) Clogged replacement cartridges, due to lack of maintenance by the user or high water pollution from salts, rust, slime, sludge sediments, etc.
3) Damage caused to the nozzle by the passage of hot water (See recommendations and instructions in chapter 4 on page 3), or by excessive tightening of the nozzle during installation. (see chapter 1, paragraph (5) on page 5). 2)
4) Breakage of the shells of the device or the connection pipes due to excessive pressure in your network or afrom the hydraulic shock phenomenon in which the network pressure rises instantaneously and uncontrollably.
5) Filter adjustment valves (switch) that do not seal and have a leakage problem due to wear caused by the accumulation of salts or sludge deposits, after 6 months.
6) Interference by an unauthorised technician.

Congratulations to the company because really this filter can be installed in every household for only 45€/year is an excuse not to have a water filter or to get a much more expensive and borrowed device let's not mention the competing company for obvious reasons.
Update: Changed after a year and 2 months, you can see how dark the old one has become and in fact the pressure had been reduced by half due to dirt that it had retained. As soon as I changed it, the water pressure from the filter came back.

Also, as mentioned in some comments, let's not just stick to foreign certifications. See also the certifications that Olympus filters have first from our universities, which are top-notch. Open one of the competitors' filters to see if the production lines that change frequently are capable of maintaining these "certifications". There are written cases that in the same models of "certified" competitor filters, the quality and country of manufacture differ disproportionately per batch and there are also many fake filters on the market without us always realizing it, which results from the increased cost of maintaining certifications.
